Over a course of months, I assisted the curation of an exhibition at the Brady Arts and Community Centre.We facilitated a number of inter-generational dialogues between the Brady Elders and current members of the community that visit the centre. It was a beautiful sharing of knowledge and stories.
In response to the experience of this story exchange I created this screen-printed textile banner with words of a poem I collected from the conversations taking place. This poem was printed in the csm letterpress studios and the text re-arranged into a multi-coloured screen print onto fabric from the Brady Art Room.
The work was exhibited at the Brady Art Centre and also at the Atrium Gallery exhibition ‘We are the Brady Girls’, 2023.
